Setting the MIDI Channel + Programming The Lehele 3 At 1

The LEHLE SGoS line of devices are a great piece of gear that can easily adapt to your guitar rig. These low profile switchers have an array of options in terms of I/O. To take things a step further, these devices are MIDI programmable, which is a bit rare in the word of input or A/B switchers. Their MIDI capability, low weight, and compact form make these great for mounting in fly racks.
This video covers the programming of the LEHLE 3 at 1 SGoS unit. The other "SGoS" units from LEHLE all program very similar, if not the same as this; therefore the logic from this video can be carried into those units as well.
We show how to program the LEHLE 3 at 1 by sending MIDI command from two different MIDI controllers to help give a few different scenarios for programming the pedal. In this video, we use the Boss ES-5 and RJM Mastermind LT.
Connecting the Lehle to MIDI
You need a cable that is wired in the MIDI to TRS "B" format. That cable can be found here - MIDI-TRS02R-II
Setting the MIDI Channel
- Unplug power from the pedal
- Hold the "A" footswitch while plugging the power into the pedal
- The lights will flash in sequence on the pedal. Each time a light illuminates, is the channel it is on. When you let go of footswitch "A" the channel is set.
- For instance, the light goes on/off 3 times and you let go of the switch, the 3 at 1 is set to CH3.
Programming for Any Input Utilizing Output 1
- Set the MIDI Channel to correspond to the channel that was selected before
- Ensure that the light for the switch you are wanting to program is not illuminated
- Select the Program Change you wish to utilize
- Send the "PC" command to the LEHLE 3 at 1
- Press and hold the desired footswitch until it flashes
Programming for Any Output Utilizing Output 2
- Set the MIDI Channel to correspond to the channel that was selected before
- Select the Program Change you wish to utilize
- Send the "PC" command to the LEHLE 3 at 1
- Press the input's switch once so that the output 1 light is on.
- Press and hold the same switch so that the light turns blue and flashes
There you have it! Fairly simple to do and it opens up a vast array of possibilities of utilizing your rig!
